Art at Olkkari

At Ravinteli Olkkari, art takes center stage in more ways than one. Our rotating art exhibitions bring the works of local artists into our space, transforming the restaurant into a living gallery. With each new exhibit, our walls tell a different story, inviting diners to immerse themselves in the creative spirit of Helsinki. Whether you’re enjoying a meal or simply dropping by for a drink, the ever-changing art installations provide a fresh and inspiring experience that complements our culinary offerings.

This body of work began from childhood, not as memory, but as a state. As children, our understanding of tools, systems, and consequences was limited. What existed instead was imagination: unstructured, expansive, and unrestricted by knowledge. Limited knowledge. Unlimited imagination. The paintings move within that tension, unfolding as a continuous sequence rather than individual statements. Each work follows the previous one, carrying its decisions forward. On view at Ravinteli Olkkari.

Past Artists at Olkkari

Minna Lindfors

Minna Lindfors (born 1969) is a visual artist from Hanko who began her painting journey in early 2025. Working intuitively with layered colors, her art explores inner strength, sensitivity, and transformation. Her exhibition Voimaannun (I Empower Myself) reflects a personal journey toward harmony, calm, and self-acceptance, inviting viewers to pause, reflect, and connect with their own sense of strength.

Hassi

Hassi (born 1988) is a Moroccan artist based in Helsinki and a member of the Helsinki International Artists’ Association and Suomen Kuvataidejärjestöjen Liitto. His work combines formal art training, a background in applied mathematics, and experiences across cultures, resulting in symbolic and introspective paintings. Exploring the space between instinct and intellect, the seen and unseen, his works depict inner landscapes shaped by memory, dreams, and emotion, inviting viewers to slow down and reflect beneath the surface.

Liisa Laine

Liisa Laine (born 1976) is a Helsinki-based visual artist whose painting style draws inspiration from early Expressionism. Working with acrylics and oils, she explores color, pattern, and composition through playful still lifes that sit between representation and abstraction. Her works often feature everyday objects, recurring patterns, and references to food imagery, travel memories, and traditional embroidery, creating compositions where creativity and structure meet in unexpected ways.
